No surprise at all.

 

It was the glance back that told me all I need to know. I know my Wife well, and Jessica is not a Woman who is easily distracted, but something had happened on our holiday. And I knew what it was. When I had asked her the previous night, why she had accepted an invitation to dance with Trevor, a big handsome Black Man, her reply was still worrying me.

She didn't give me the standard Wife's reply of, "It was just good manners to say yes," when she really means, "I fancy the big hunk." The response I received was the honest, "No choice Dear! It's the Natural Order to say yes to men like Trevor."

I knew that he had told her that he would like to see her again, and Jessica had said yes. So when she went up to the beach bar the next day it was not a surprise when she turned around it was Big Trevor she was looking for. And when she later disappeared to be with him at his own villa, what I saw was ....

.... it was no surprise at all.
